Product Name :
Mouse anti Human CD2

Description :
| Clone T6.3 | Isotype IgG2a | Product Type Monoclonal Antibody | Units 100 µg | Host Mouse | Species Reactivity Human | Application Flow Cytometry

Background :
Derived from hybridization of mouse Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with T Lymphocytes activated by a mixed lymphocyte culture.

Source :
Mouse anti human CD2 can be used for identification of human T cells and a subset of NK cells associated with the receptor for sheep erythocytes rosettes expressing the 45-50,000 M.W. surface antigen. Synonyms: T-cell surface antigen CD2; CD2 cytoplasmic domain-binding protein <

Product :
Product Form: Unconjugated Formulation: Provided as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide Purification Method: Protein A/G Chromatography Concentration: See vial for concentration

Specificity :

Applications :
Flow cytometry: PBMC: Add 10 µl of antibody to 1 million PBMCs in 100 µl PBS. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at 2 to 8°C. Wash twice with PBS, incubate with an appropriate concentratio with a fluorochrome conjugated secondary antibody, wash again and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. WHOLE BLOOD: Add10 µl of antibody to 100 µl of whole blood. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature 20°C. Lyse the whole blood. Wash once with PBS, incubate with an appropriate concentratio with a fluorochrome conjugated secondary antibody, wash again and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. See instrument manufacturer’s instructions for immunofluorescence analysis with a flow cytometer or microscope. Functional Analysis: Flow cytometry staining

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
