Product Name :
Mouse anti Human CD71, conjugated with FITC

Description :
| Clone BGX.24 | Isotype IgG1 | Product Type Single-Color Reagent | Units 100 Tests | Host Mouse | Species Reactivity Human | Application Flow Cytometry

Background :
Immunogen: Derived from the hybridization of mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with blast cells from pokeweed mitogen-stimulated peripheral blood cells.

Source :
CD71 is specific for the human transferrin receptor, MW 190 kdaltons (kDa), 90 kDa reduced. CD71 antigen expression is low on normal resting lymphocytes and is expressed on all cells upon activation. The transferrin receptor is essential for iron transport into proliferating cells, such as mitogen-activated and alloantigen-activated lymphoblasts. The transferrin receptor is also present on early erythroid cells but is lost as reticulocytes differentiate into mature erythrocytes. Synonyms: CD71 FITC <

Product :
Product Form: FITC Formulation: Provided as solution in phosphate buffered saline with 0.08% sodium azide and 0.2% carrier protein Purification Method: Protein A/G Chromatography Concentration: Titered for flow cytometry

Specificity :

Applications :
PBMC: Add10 µl of MAB/10^6 PBMC in 100 µl PBS. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at 2° to 8°C. Wash twice with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. WHOLE BLOOD: Add 10 µl of MAB/100 µl of whole blood. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature (20°C). Lyse the whole blood. Wash once with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. See instrument manufacturer’s instructions for Lysed Whole Blood and Immunofluorescence analysis with a flow cytometer or microscope. Storage: Antibodies are supplied in PBS, 0.08% sodium azide and 0.2% protein carrier for FITC. Antibodies should be stored at 4-8°C. Monoclonal antibodies should not be frozen. Reagents are stable for the period shown on the vial label when stored properly. Functional Analysis: Flow Cytometry Staining

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
